Juan Torres age 87, of Manistee, MI died Sunday, May 21, 2023 at the Munson Hospice House in Traverse City, MI.
His Legacy… He was born March 8, 1936 in San Benita, TX to Manuel and Manuela (Ledesma) Torres. Juan was employed with General Motors for 25 years. After retirement, he moved to Bradenton, FL to enjoy his Golden Years. While living there, he couldn’t stay retired for long. He found work in landscaping for many years, where he test drove lawnmowers for John Deere. He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially ones from the Senior Center in Manistee. In his spare time, he always found a good flea market to find all kinds of trinkets. His favorite finds were his turquoise jewelry. Juan could be a quiet and reserved man, but start talking about The Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns, and most importantly the Cleveland Guardians and he would open right up. He loved all things baseball, whether playing, coaching, or watching.
His Family… He is survived by his children: Roberta (Robert) Rehard, Rita Herrera, Rocky Ramos and Ron Ramos; grandchildren: Alyssa, Aaron, Ronnie Jr., Corina, Destiny and Jennifer; 8 great grandchildren; and siblings: Genny (Roselio) Martinez, Frank (Pat) Torres and Maria (Lorenzo) Torres.
