A. Pauline Tobias

Amelia Pauline Tobias, age 97, of Hamler, died Monday morning, June 13, 2011 at Vancrest of Holgate.

Her Legacy… She was born March 30, 1914 to Harvey and Gale (Eaton) Conrad in Grelton. On October 12, 1933 she married Everett Charles Tobias in Deshler. Pauline was a homemaker and a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Holgate. She worked 2 years in the school cafeteria. Pauline was a Sunday school teacher and organist for the Hamler United Methodist Church and was in the Wide Wake Club for ten years and was president for 2 years.

Her Family… She is survived by her loving family; daughter, Barbara Ann (Melvin) Porter, Paulding; sons, John Everett (Shirley) Tobias, Hamler and James H. (Dorothy) Tobias, Holgate; 9 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 25 great great grandchildren and a brother Ralph Conrad. She was preceded in death by loving husband Everett on August 21, 1998, a brother, Harold Conrad and 2 infant grandchildren.

Her Farewell Services… Friends will be received in the Zachrich Funeral Home, Holgate on Thursday from 4-8 pm and 1 hour prior to services at the church. The celebration of Pauline's life will be Friday, June17, 2011 in St. John's United Church of Christ, Holgate at 10:30 am with Reverend Jane Hillman officiating. Burial will follow in the Grelton Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made in Pauline's honor to St. John UCC or Shalom Food Pantry.
