Agnes E. Dulle, age 76, a beloved member of her community, passed away peacefully in her Holgate home on August 7, 2025, after a long and courageous struggle with Parkinson's disease. Born on August 11, 1948, in Defiance, Agnes was gentle soul whose unwavering faith and dedication to others touched the lives of many.
In 1966, Agnes graduated from Continental High School, laying a foundation for a life devoted to service. For 28 years, she worked in the Holgate Schools cafeteria, nurturing countless children and building lasting relationships with students, families, and fellow staff members. Her warm smile and caring nature left a lasting impression on all who encountered her.
A devoted member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in New Bavaria, Agnes served her parish community in various capacities. She was a dedicated server and Eucharist distributor and took an active role in the Altar Rosary Society, where she held multiple offices. Agnes’s deep faith was a guiding light in her life, providing her with strength and comfort during both joyful and challenging times.
On June 29, 1968, Agnes married her loving husband, Norman S. Dulle, a testament to their enduring love. Together, they raised a family that exemplified the values they cherished. Agnes is remembered with deep affection by her sons Gerald "Gary" (Marissa) Dulle of Liberty Center and David "Dave" (Erika) Dulle of Medina, Donald "Don" (Jamie) Dulle and seven grandchildren. Her legacy lives on through these families, who have inherited her spirit of kindness and unwavering support.
Agnes also leaves behind her loving sisters, Rita (Herm) Borgelt and Lela (Ken) Lemmers and her brother Arnold Ruhe, each of whom she held dear. She is now reunited in eternal peace with her beloved parents, Alex and Christina (Krietemeyer) Ruhe, her son Donald "Don" (who preceded her in death in 2010) and daughter-in-law Jamie Dulle.
A visitation will be held at Zachrich Family Funeral Home in Holgate from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM on August 11, 2025, allowing family and friends to gather in remembrance of this remarkable woman. Visitation will continue at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in New Bavaria on Tuesday at 9:30 am until the funeral mass at 10:30 AM on August 12, 2025, to celebrate Agnes's life and her profound impact on those who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or Elara Care Hospice.
