Alan Pfau

Alan Pfau, age 55 of Holgate, died Sunday afternoon, August 14, 2011, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
Born June 22, 1956, in Defiance, Alan was the son of Paul and Ida (Jones) Pfau. On Aug. 1, 1975, he married Chris, who survives.
He graduated from Holgate High School in 1974 and worked for Johns Manville for 37 years. He was also an avid farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Chris; three children, Jason (Rachel), Joslyn (Kerry) Johnson and Jessica (Steve) Witham; six grandchildren, Grace, Andrea, Dominic, Connor, Mackenzie and Addison. He is also survived by his father, Paul; and sister, Susan.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ida, and brother, John.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 1-4 and 5-8 at Zachrich Funeral Home, Holgate. Services are Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Emanuel's Christian Church, New Bavaria, with Reverend Ed Briggeman officiating. Alan will lie in state from 10-11 a.m. in the church. Memorial contributions can be made to the family or donor's choice.
