Ann Dowe Papenhagen age 88, of Holgate, died Monday morning, January 12, 2026 at Mercy Defiance Hospital. She was born November 29, 1937 to James and Lucille (Dowe) Behringer in Defiance. Ann worked in clerical in the family paper retail store. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church.
Ann is survived by her children: Andy (Ellie) Papenhagen, Defiance and Betsy (Royce) Weaver, Atlanta; 3 grandchildren; 1 great grandson and a sister Becky DeGrasse, Dallas, TX. She was preceded in death by a sister Mary Rickenberg.
There will be no public Services.
