Charles Wolkiewicz

Charles Wolkiewicz age 60, of Holgate, died Sunday morning, February 12, 2017 at Vancrest of Holgate.
His Legacy… Chuck was born January 24, 1957 to Bernard Wolkiewicz and Irmalea Weigold in Pittsburgh, PA. On June 27, 1980, he married Carine “Cari” Derr in Pittsburg. Chuck received his associate degree from Northwest State Community College. He drove truck for a living and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Holgate. Chuck enjoyed coaching and umpiring farm league baseball.
His Family… He is survived by his wife Cari; three sons, Christopher, Holgate, Benjamin, Knoxville, TN, and Nicholas, Denver, CO; and siblings: Bernard “Bunny” (Jeanie) Weigold, Richard (Sandy) Weigold, Robert (Bertha) Weigold, David (Judy) Weigold, William (Maureen) Weigold, Bernard Wolkiewicz, Richard Wolkiewicz, Virginia “Sissy” (Greg) Gloss, Linda (Ed) Ryan, and Patricia Weigold; brother-in-law, John McKinley and nieces and nephews. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Betsy McKinley and Dorothy Gaston.
His Farewell Services… Friends will be received in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Holgate on Thursday, February 16, 2017 after 2:00 pm with Mass of Christian Burial at 4:00 pm with Father Nick Cunningham officiating. Immediately following the service, everyone is invited to the parish hall. Contributions made in Chuck’s memory can be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer’s Association.
