David Roehrig

David Allen Roehrig age 73 of Holgate, died Friday evening at the Defiance In-patient Hospice Center.  

His Legacy... David was born November 16, 1950 to Lyman and Aleta (Close) Roehrig, Jr. in Lima.  He graduated from Continental High School in 1969.  On September 11, 1971 he married Judy Hohenberger.  David started his working career with Hire Sunoco Gas Station.  For 27 years he was a machinist working at Zeller until they closed.  He worked for another 12 years at JAD, Malinta until his retirement in 2012. He was a member of Emanuel's Christian Church, New Bavaria.  David had a wide variety of hobbies including fishing, watching NASCAR, working with model trains, and flower arranging.

His Family... David is survived by his wonderful wife Judy; daughter Jackie (Shawn) McMillan, Peru, IN; 2 grandchildren: Kelsey (Tim Stone) Roehrig and Cortney (Adam) Knitz; 5 great grandchildren: Elaynia, Octavia, Everest, Brantlee and Brooklyn and siblings: Steve (Karen) Roehrig, Defiance and Judy (Mark) Bryan, Lima.  He was preceded in death by his son Chris.

His Farewell Services... Friends will be received in Emanuel's Christian Church, New Bavaria on Friday, January 26, 2024 from 9:00 am until the celebration of David's life at 11:00 am.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Contributions in David's memory can be made to Emanuel's Christian Church.
