Dorothy M. Hastedt age 94, of Hamler, died peacefully early Tuesday morning, August 14, 2018 at Vancest of Holgate.
Her Legacy… She was born March 14, 1924 to Arnold and Emma (Huener) Miller in Ridgeville Township. On July 14, 1946 she married Elmer E. Hastedt in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Napoleon Township. Dorothy was a homemaker and a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Hamler.
Her Family… She is survived by her children Judy (George) Poulson, Baton Rouge, Bob (Deb) Hastedt, Hamler, and Mary (William) Sitton, Baton Rouge; grandchildren, Michelle (Tim) Franks, Christopher (Annie) Hastedt, Hamler, Troy (Michelle) Hastedt, Seth (Teri) Sitton, and Shena Sitton; great-grandchildren; Brianna Reinhardt, Steven Franks, Aaron Hastedt, Autumn Hastedt, Zach Hastedt, Eli Hastedt, and Kalyn Hastedt and a great great granddaughter, Evelyn Reinhardt. Dorothy was preceded in death by her loving husband “Shorty” and a great-grandson, Andrew Hastedt.
Her Farewell Services… Friends will be received in the Zachrich Funeral Home, 114 William Street, Holgate on Thursday from 2-8 pm and one hour before the church service. The celebration of Dorothy’s life will be Friday, August 17, 2018 at 11:00 am in Immanuel Lutheran Church, Hamler with Reverend Douglas DeWitt officiating. Contribution’s made in Dorothy’s name can be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
