Felipe "Jr" Alvarado

Felipe Alvarado, Jr age 71, of Hamler, passed away August 6, 2018 at The Toledo Hospital.

Jr was born August 4 1947 to Felipe and Angelita (Carrizales) Alvarado in Fostoria, OH and graduated from Hamler High School in 1965. After graduation, Felipe joined the United States Army.  On March 20, 1971, Felipe married Ellie Gonzalez in Leipsic.  He was employed by General Motors for 31 years and retired in 2000 and then worked another five years at Campbell’s Soup Company.  Jr was a member of Harvest Fellowship, Hamler American Legion, Defiance AMVETS and UAW.

Surviving is his loving wife; parents; children, Brenda (Caleb) Arce, Defiance, Jerry (Kathryn) Alvarado, Troy, OH, Aaron Alvarado, Napoleon, and Amanda (Joshua) Sprow, Maumee; 11 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren; sisters Maria Amador, Hamler and Lydia (Daniel) Benavides, Hamler, and many nieces and nephews.

Service will be private.  Contributions in Felipe’s memory can be made to Harvest Fellowship Church.
