George Medina age 90, of Malinta, died early Wednesday morning at Mercy, Perrysburg. He was born in Tallulah, LA on October 21, 1935 to his father, Serapio Medina and mother, Elvira Martinez Medina. He was raised by his grandparents Mercedes and Fransica Mauricio. He moved to Ohio with his grandparents at age 5. He attended school until the 8th grade but got his GED from Four County. He joined the Army and was active during the Korean Conflict, where he drove a tank. He began working for Walter's collision in Napoleon and that is where he found his passion for Auto Body Repair. He started his own business, Medina's body shop in Malinta. That is where a lot of kids came and went in the body shop, that he mentored and some still do body work today. He married Ruth, in 1961. They were 6 days shy of their 65th wedding anniversary when he passed. George had a huge heart! The Love For his Family kept him going for so long. He would attend all of his grandkids and great grandkids events. His family was everything to him. He would also help anyone. If he could fix it, he would. He loved life! His orneriness and bright smile made him a man you wouldn't forget. As a veteran, he loved his country. He was a member of the Hamler American Legion.
