James Brown

James A. Brown, age 65, of Holgate died Sunday afternoon, April 3, 2011 in his home.

His Legacy… Jim was born February 16, 1946 to Leorell "Dutch" and Helen (Kline) Brown in New Bavaria. During the Vietnam War Jim unselfishly served our country and enlisted with the US Army. He was a life member of the Bert G, Taylor American Legion Post 300 and a member of the New Bavaria VFW. On November 29, 1969 he married Mary L. Zachrich. Jim was the owner of Brown's Body Shop. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Holgate. In his spare time, Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing cards.

His Family… Jim is survived by his loving wife Mary of 41 years; son Charlie (Joely) Brown, Holgate; daughter-in-law, Angie Brown, New Bavaria; mother Helen, Holgate; grandchildren Alexis and Brandon Brown; siblings Julie Brown, Rose Archambeault and Joe (Nancy) Brown all of Holgate. He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas and father Dutch.

His Farewell Service… A memorial service will be Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Zachrich Funeral Home, Holgate with Pastor Susan St. Peter officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Holgate. A luncheon will be served at the New Bavaria VFW. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Henry County or the Henry County Transportation Network.
