Joe "Roy" Salinas

Joe “Roy” Salinas age 63, of Leipsic died Tuesday, January 19, 2016, after injuries he sustained in a traffic accident. He was born September 28, 1952 to Fancisco and Mercedes “Chelo” (Bautista) Salinas.
Roy is survived by his mother, Chelo Salinas, Leipsic and siblings, Mary Olga Stutzman, Leipsic, Edward Salinas, Napoleon, Oralia (Baldemar) Alafa, Ottawa, Louis (Teresa) Salinas, Holgate, Ofelia (Thomas) Butler, Leipsic, and Johnny (Stella) Salinas, San Antonio, TX. He was preceded in death by his father, Francisco Salinas and sisters Juanita Oralia Salinas and Elva Mojica.
Roy was a graduate of Holgate High School. He worked 25 years at General Motors in Defiance and retired. He was an avid music lover that loved to grill and watch TV Land. He enjoyed joking and the company of close family and friends.
Friends and family are welcomed into the Zachrich Funeral Home, 114 William Street, Holgate on Friday form 4-8 pm. The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 Friday evening. Mass of Christine Burial is on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 10:30 am in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Holgate with Father Nick Cunningham officiating. Contributions made in Roy’s memory can be made to the American Cancer Society.
