John A Dockery

John A. Dockery age 84, of Continental, died Saturday night, May 14, 2016 in his home.
His Legacy… He was born in Midway, VA on December 3, 1931 to Robert B. and Monnie (Moore) Dockery. On March 29, 1958 he married Ruth Ann Fuller. John was formerly employed with N & S Railroad for 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and searching for arrowheads. It was John’s pleasure just tinkering in the yard as well.
His Family… He is survived by his wife of 58 years; sons: Richard (Julie) Dockery and Russell Dockery; 2 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and a brother Howard Dockery. He was preceded in death by: a son Timothy Wayne, a daughter, Tina Ann Casper, and siblings, Elbert, Fred and Dorothy.
His Farewell Services… Friends and family will be received in the Zachrich Funeral Home, 114 William Street Holgate on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 11:00 for a memorial gathering. A luncheon will follow at the Continental American Legion. Memorial contributions made in John’s honor can be made to the Humane Society.
