Lavina M. Hoellrich age 89, of Holgate, died Sunday afternoon, June 25, 2017 at Vancrest Healthcare Center of Holgate.
Her Legacy… She was born October 20, 1927 to Henry and Golda (Dancer) Lero in Holgate. In 1945, she graduated from Ayersville High School. She married Lester Hoellrich March 15, 1947 and he died on January 6, 2014. Lavina was a homemaker and member of Emanuel’s Christian Church, New Bavaria, the church women’s guild and the Holgate American Legion Auxiliary #340.
Her Family… She is survived by her children: David (Jackie) Hoellrich, Sylvania; Dan (Diane) Hoellrich, Holgate; and Connie Dunn, Defiance; eight grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother Laverne (Marilyn) Lero, Bryan.
Her Farewell Services… Friends will be received in the Zachrich Funeral Home, 114 William Street, Holgate on Tuesday from 3-7 pm and again one hour before the church service. The celebration of Lavina’s life will be on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 in Emanuel’s Christian Church New Bavaria, at 11:00am, with Pastor Jody VanDyke officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memory Gardens, rural Defiance, at 1:30pm. Contributions made in Lavina’s memory can be made to Emanuel’s Christian Church or Hospice of Putnam County.
