Lucinda C. Emmons, age 81, died Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Paramount Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center of San Antonio, Texas.
She was born May 23, 1935, to Jose and Jesusa (Garcia) Cavazos in La Feria, Texas. Lucinda was a home maker and loving mother of Pete (Mary Ann) Mendez, Holgate, Yolanda (Ruben) Parga, San Antonio, Texas, Isabell (Curtis) Gaynor, Delta, Consuelo Medina, Napoleon, Olga Mendez, Fostoria, Rachel (Rudy) Bernal, San Antonio, Texas, Gilbert (Vickie) Fonseca, Napoleon, Alisa Gallup, Waterville, Jessica Henson, Michigan, and Carmen Stevenson, Idaho and 32 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by a daughter Rosa Fonseca, a sister Lupe Anciso and a son-in-law Lupe Medina, Sr.
Friends will be received in the Zachrich Funeral Home, 114 William Street, Holgate on Thursday from 2-8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Holgate on Friday, July 29, 2016 at 10:30 am with Father Nick Cunningham officiating. Burial will be private. Memorials in honor of Lucinda can be made to the family for recipient to be determined at a later date.
