Mike “Boris” Kohl, of Continental, Ohio, passed away surrounded by the memories, stories, and people who loved him most.
Mike retired from Defiance Precision Products after 28 years of dedicated work and friendships that lasted far beyond the workplace. Known for his strong spirit, sharp humor, and unforgettable personality, Mike proudly claimed to be a graduate of the “School of Hard Knocks,” earning his degree with honors through a life well lived and lessons well learned. Mike had a deep love for motorcycles and the freedom of the open road. Whether riding on a journey or simply enjoying the rumble of an engine, motorcycles brought him peace and happiness. Equally special to him was his love for dogs that were constant companions and a source of pride in his ability to train them.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Adrys (Ade) Kohl and Jean (Snyder) Kohl, and his brother-in-law, Richard Powell. Mike is survived by his siblings: David Kohl of Chillicothe, Ohio; Coleen Powell of Bryan, Ohio; and Tim Kohl of Plain City, Ohio, along with eleven nieces and nephews.
Mike will be remembered for his toughness, loyalty, and ability to live life on his own terms. Though he may be gone from our sight, the stories, laughter, and memories he created will continue to ride on with all who knew him.
