Naomi “Jean” Kohl age 91, of Holgate, died Wednesday night at Vancrest of Holgate.
Her Legacy… She was born October 21, 1926 to Victor L. and Rema E. (Burson) Snyder in Piqua, Ohio. She graduated from Findlay High School. On April 24, 1949, she married Adrys W. Kohl. Jean was a typist clerk for Campbell Soup Company for 16 years. She was a faithful member of the Holgate United Methodist Church and its Holgate UMC Women. Jean was a member of the Holgate American Legion Auxiliary #340, Campbell Retirees and the “Napoleon Buckeyes” camping club.
Her Family… She is survived by her children: David Kohl, Chillicothe, Coleen Powell, Bryan, Tim (Mary Jo) Kohl, Dublin, and Michael Kohl, Continental, 15 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren, and a brother John Snyder, Findlay. She was preceded in death by her husband Adrys on December 11, 2008, a sister Nancy Collert and a son-in-law, Richard Powell.
Her Farewell Services… Friends and family are invited to the Holgate United Methodist Church on Monday, May 7, 2018 at 11:00 am with the celebration of Jean’s life 1:00 pm with Reverend Susan St. Peter officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memory Gardens, rural Defiance. Contributions made in Jean’s memory can be made to the Holgate United Methodist Church building fund.
