Raffaela Ann Peck

Raffaela Ann Peck age 83, died Wednesday afternoon, September 2, 2015 in her New Bavaria home.

Her Legacy… She was born to Bruno and Sabia Pace on April 19, 1932.  She graduated from Warren High School and Defiance College.  She met Raymond B. Peck and it was love at first sight, and on June 26, 1954 they married.  She was mentored into rural life by dear and close friends. Raffaela was a loving wife and mother, nurturing grandmother and supportive sister.   She found her sense of purpose, outside her family, when she was volunteered to become DRE for Sacred Heart Parish.  She felt blessed to have been given the opportunity to serve this extended family for 45 years.  Raffaela was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and Rosary Altar Society of New Bavaria and member of the New Bavaria VFW Auxiliary.

Her Family… She is survived by her loving family: sons, Michael (Joni) Peck, Continental and Stephen (Leigh) Peck, Van Buren; daughters, Julia (Brian ) Rupp, Stryker and Laura (Mark) Polen, Lincolnshire, IL; 13 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; siblings, Dora Cicchini, Pittsburgh, PA, Antoinette (Michael) Durkin, Maryland, Sylvia Larson,  Mary Munch, and Vincent (Charlene) Pace, all of Warren, PA.     She was preceded in death by the love of her life in June of 1997,  parents, brother-in-laws, Perry Cicchini and Greg Munch.

Her Farewell Services… Friends and family will be welcomed into the Zachrich Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-8 pm and again on Monday from 9:30-10:15 am.  The VFW Auxiliary will have a service at 7:00 pm.  The Rosary will be said at 7:30 pm.  The Mass of Christian burial will be on Monday, September 7, 2015 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Bavaria at 10:30 am with Father Nick Cunningham officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Contributions made in Raffaela’s memory can be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
