Robert William Muntz

Robert "Bob" William Muntz age 88, of Napoleon, died Tuesday, June 30 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo.  

Bob was born January 5, 1938 in Detroit to Ronald W. and Geraldine (Becker) Muntz. He graduated from Ayersville High School in 1956. On September 20, 1959 he married Myra Schiffer. Bob provided seamer service in the canning industry. He was employed by Ball canning until his retirement in 2000. Always wanting to work, he started "Muntz Equipment", retiring again in 2020. While doing all of this, he grew a garden and farmed, raising beans, wheat, and corn.  He had raised tomatoes for Campbell's as well. Bob worked and went to church! They attended both True Believers Fellowship, Holgate and Zion Church of God, Hamler.

Bob is survived by his wife Myra of 66 years; children: Clayton (Diane) Muntz, Napoleon, Mark (Sherry) Muntz, NC, Jeff (Barb) Muntz, New Riegel, OH, Dan (Susan) Muntz, CO and Janet (Rick) Genz, Richmond, IN;19 grandchildren; a bunch of great grandchildren; 3 nieces and one nephew.  He was preceded in death his brother Melvin Muntz and sister Pat Butler.

Friends will be received in the Zachrich Family Funeral Home of Holgate on Sunday from 1-7:00 pm and again 1 hour before the church service. The Celebration of Bob's life will be on Monday, July 6, 2026 in True Believers Fellowship, Holgate at 10:30 am with Pastor Wendell Blackburn officiating.  Burial will follow in Riverview Memory Gardens, rural Defiance.  If making a memorial contribution, you are asked to consider True Believers Fellowship.
