Ruth N. (Siemet) Like

Ruth N. (Siemet) Like age 75, of Leipsic and formerly of New Bavaria passed away at the Meadows of Leipsic on Monday.  She was born March 18, 1937.  On June 13, 1956 she married Don Like who passed away in 2005.  She was the daughter of the late Harvey McDougle and the late Lavina Gebhart.  At the age of 2 she was adopted by the late Ed and Edith Hermiller.  She helped her husband Don with the farming and plumbing while raising the family.  She and Don loved growing a huge garden together.  She was a member of New Bavaria Sacred Heart Catholic Church, ladies auxiliary at the New Bavaria VFW and Catholic ladies auxiliary of New Bavaria.
She is survived by her 2 daughters Dee (Rob) Strong of New Bavaria and Kathy Craley of Maumee; 2 sons, Don (Ann) Like of New Bavaria, Barry (Rachel) Like of Liberty Center; grandchildren, Laura, Nathan, Joey, Dani, Ben, Austin, Braden and Mason; 2 great grandsons, Caden and Carver; a brother, Bob (Diane) Weaver of North Baltimore; brother-in-law Leopold (Sue) Like of Hillard, OH and sister-in-law Lee Weaver Florida; nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by 2 sons Larry and Terry and brothers, Ed Weaver and twins Ronald and Donald.
Friends will be received in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Bavaria on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 from 10:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am with Father Stephen Stanbery officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Contributions can be made in Ruth’s memory to Putnam County Hospice.  Condolences, cards and memorials  may be sent to Zachrich Funeral Home, 114 William Street, Holgate, Ohio 43527.  Please visit www.ZachrichFuneralHome.com to leave online condolences.
