Ruth Ann Wagner age 75, of Defiance, died Saturday morning, August 26, 2017 unexpectedly in Defiance.
Her Legacy… She was born May 17, 1942 to Calvin and Grace (Imber) Murphy. She graduated from Defiance High School. On May 7, 1960 she married Kenneth B. Wagner and he preceded her in death on March 14, 2010. Ruth was a homemaker and member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Bavaria. She was in the Rosary Alter Society and CLC. Ruth enjoyed cooking, knitting and reading.
Her Family… She is survived by a son Keith Wagner, Cloverdale; daughters Diane (Kevin) Simon, Miller City and Deb (Pat) Ehlers, Leipsic; 6 grandchildren; Aaron (Aimee) Simon, Amanda Simon, Matthew Wagner, Jenny Wagner, Danica Ehlers and Riley Ehlers; a great granddaughter Lila Simon and a sister Kathleen (James) Stanley, Delta. Ruth was also preceded in death by her brother Kenneth Murphy and 3 infant brothers.
Her Farewell Services… Friends will be received in the Zachrich Funeral Home, Holgate (419 264 0600) on Monday from 2-8 pm and again in the church on Tuesday from 9:30 am until the time of the service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at 10:30 am in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Nick Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Contributions made in Ruth’s memory can be made to Brookview Healthcare Center, Sacred Heart Catholic Church or a charity of your choice.
