Bernadine P. Meyer

Bernadine Pauline Meyer, 91 of Hamler, Ohio, passed away on April 1, 2023 at Vancrest of Holgate.  She was born August 25, 1931 to Paulus and Caroline (Bindemann) Meyer in Marion Township, Henry County, Ohio.

Bernadine was a lifetime member of Hope Lutheran Church, Hamler, and its WELCA group.  Bernadine loved crocheting, Bible studies, exercises and visiting, especially talking about her family and friends, and growing up in Standley, Ohio.  She looked forward to going to the Hamler Summerfest and listening to polka music.  WNDH radio station was important to her, because of local news and broadcasting basketball games.

Bernadine is survived by her sister, Margaret Bishop, Hamler; nephew, Stanley (Kathy) Bishop, Hamler; great-nephew, Brendan Bishop, Boston, MA; great-niece, Mackenzie (Jordan Moore) Bishop, Hamler.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Melvin Bishop.

Friends and family will be received at Hope Lutheran Church, Hamler, on Wednesday, April  5, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Barb Gibson officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Hope Lutheran Church, Hamler, Ohio or the donor’s choice.
