Joseph Samuel Brown

Joseph Samuel Brown age 81, died early Thursday morning, December 8, 2022 in his Holgate home.

His Legacy… Joseph was born June 28, 1941 to Leorell and Helen (Kline) Brown in New Bavaria. He graduated from Holgate High School in 1959.  On June 29, 1963 he married Nancy Suzanne Haase.  Joe was an electrician for Automatic Feed Company for 43 years retiring in 2004.  He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Holgate.  Joe found fun and relaxation in squirrel and coon hunting, playing spades and pinochle and gardening.

His Family… Joe is survived by his loving wife Nancy; children: Jason (Maria Teresa) Brown, Virginia Beach, VA, Michael Brown, Toledo, Paula (Michael) Martinez, Swanton and Christopher (Kim) Brown, Holgate; 12 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sisters Julie Snavely and Rose Archambeault and sister-in-law, Mary Brown.  Joe was preceded in death by his brother Jim Brown.

His Farewell Services… Friends will be received in the Zachrich Family Funeral Home, 114 William Street, Holgate on Monday, from 3-5:00 and 6-8:00 pm.  Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Holgate at 10:30 am with Father Nick Cunningham officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to St. Mary’s Catholic Church or a charity of your choice as Joe would wish.
