Mary L. Swatek

Mary Lee Swatek (Connolly), age 68, resident of Defiance, OH, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2023.

Mary was born on May 27, 1954 in Defiance, Ohio. She graduated from Defiance High School in 1972. Mary spent a great portion of her life caring for family and others and was employed as a caregiver working for Easy Living Residential Service Provider in Northwest Ohio. Mary loved her family, getting together for picnics and holidays, and enjoyed spoiling her nieces and nephews. She was an avid music, television and theater lover and enjoyed collecting nostalgic memorabilia and going for drives.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Edward “Scotty” Swatek, parents, Timothy Carroll Connolly and Carolyn Jean (Grant) Connolly. She is survived by her sisters Patricia Ann Parr (Gary), Amy Connolly Haskins (Michael) and Timothy Kevin Connolly (Lisa), her three nieces Samantha Ann Suchy (Brian), Jade Connolly, and Anne Haskins Horne (James), three nephews Bryan Robert Haskins (Caroline), Christian Michael Haskins (Sarah), and Dalton Connolly, and two great-nephews. She is also survived by her beloved friend and “like a daughter”, Tonia Miller. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. A celebration of Mary's life will be held in the Summer.
